Mind The Gap

This album, "Mind The Gap" by Scooter, released on Sheffield Tunes in 2004, was added to my music catalog in November 2004. "Mind The Gap" is made in the genres of trance and dance. It is a solid and well-received album — rated 4 stars out of 5. Average rate for a Scooter record is 3.4, so this album is a good record for Scooter. "Mind The Gap" is tied to the region of Hamburg, Germany; it belongs to the german and western-european cultural world zones. 6 out of 13 tracks on this album are marked as favorite, among them "Jigga Jigga!", "The Avenger's Back" and others. Judging by picked selection, most tracks on this record are sung with male voice and sung in mixed voices. They are also performed in high and low profile/energy/mood. There are certain records that are similar to "Mind The Gap", like “Live On Stage” (The KLF), “Intensify” (Way Out West), “Somethings” (Lasgo) and “We Call It Love” by U96. If you scroll down, there's my review of "Mind The Gap" right above the tracklist.

I might as well be out of my mind, this is year 2009 and I finally decided to review this album. Scooter's music has such a strange tradition, every album after No Time To Chill seems like their weakest one ever, but some time passes and you steadily grow into it, catch some tricks and hear bits of good lyrics (just in a way). Certainly, when Mind The Gap was released, I thought there was nothing new in it, just same old stuff. Now, 5 years later, I was listening to it in the car yesterday on my way home and there is something in the album that excites me more and more. One of those things is the heavy KLF's influence. You know, the latter guys even had a track with this name, but it's not the only point. I'm sure HP & The Co. used to read The Manual a lot and they play music by its testaments. Anyway. It's a beautifully done techno dance record, it shines through many tracks. Not only techno, btw, that great disco house one, "Shake That" is a killer song. Mind The Gap is a pretty straightforward album, I don't even know what criteria to draw here to prove my point. So I'd better shup up now. Over and out....
